I am Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Savannah Grizzle the 2018-2019 Battalion Commander. I have been in this outstanding program for 4 years now, I am the drill team commander covering all unarmed events. I have been on the drill team since my freshman year and color guard since sophomore year. This past year my armed squad placed first and so did the drill team overall. I am an active member in Military Honor Society (MHS) for 2 years now. After high school I plan to pursue my career in the military as a military working dog handler then, attend college and receive my major in Psychology. I hope to have an amazing school year with my wonderful, confident, and motivated Battalion. Let's have a Cavalier Classic year!
c/MAJ Stephanie Helms
I am Cadet Major Stephanie Helms and I am the Battalion Executive Officer of the Cavalier Battalion for the 2018-2019 school year. I supervise, direct, and coordinate the cadet battalion staff (S-1 through S-5) to prevent overlapping efforts and to ensure that the commander’s desires are understood and achieved. I also keep my staff informed of the commander’s policies and keep the cadet Battalion Commander informed of the status of projects assigned to the staff. My staff and I get the privilege of planning all of the events for the battalion, and it is a huge responsibility for us. Along with my responsibilities as the Battalion XO I am also one of the commanders of drill team. After high school I plan to join the military and go to college and study criminal justice and physiology. I look forward to working with my staff this year to plan your events for this school year.
